This page (together with the documents referred to on it) tells you the terms of use on which you may make use of our website www.optics2u.com (our “Site”), whether as a guest or a registered user. Please read these terms of use carefully before you start to use the Site. By using our Site, you indicate that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to abide by them. If you do not agree to these terms of use, please refrain from using our Site.

Conditions of Supply
- These terms and conditions set out the rights and obligations that apply where we supply goods to you. Please read them carefully before you place your order as you will be bound by these terms and conditions should we accept your order. If you have any questions regarding these terms and conditions, or our website or order form, please raise them by contacting us before you place your order.
- These terms and conditions are governed by and were written in accordance with British law, and may be subject to change without any prior notice to you. However, after an order is placed, we will not change the terms and conditions relating to that order.
- These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Contract
In order for optics2u to process your order you must understand and agree to the following
- We will supply contact lenses in conformity with the details supplied by you.
- We trust that the information given by you is the correct contact lens prescription provided by a qualified GOC registered optician or contact lens practitioner, following UK guidelines.
- The contact lens prescription should not be more than 12 months old.
- You must not be registered blind or partially sighted
- We reserve the right not to supply you with contact lenses if we consider the contact lenses requested according to your contact lens prescription unsuitable.
- We cannot be held responsible for your lack of suitability to wear contact lenses as detailed in your contact lens prescription or for your overall suitability to wear contact lenses.
- You have not been advised to stop wearing contact lenses by a qualified optician, contact lens practitioner or medical practitioner.
- You must provide us with your current valid contact lens prescription in accordance with the terms and conditions set out for Contact Lens Prescription Requirements.
- You are ordering the contact lenses for yourself and are over 18 years of age. You hereby consent to our contacting your optician, contact lens practitioner or medical practitioner, if necessary, to verify your prescription information and any other required information.
- In accordance with changes made to the Opticians Act on 30 June 2005, contact lenses for use by children under the age of 16 must be sold by a registered optometrist, suitably qualified dispensing optician or medical practitioner or under his or her supervision. It is our policy not to supply contact lenses to anyone under the age of 18.
Contact Lens Prescription Requirements
In order for optics2u to process your order we will need to see a copy of your contact lens prescription provided by a qualified optician or contact lens practitioner which should be less then 12 months old. The prescription can be sent to us during registration or using one of following methods:
- By fax to 020 7253 5571
- By email to info@optics2u.com - scanned copy of the original document .
- By post to Optics2u LLP, 32-33 Cowcross Street, London EC1M 6DF – the original or a copy of the original or prescription document from the optician.
- Uploaded via your account.
PLEASE NOTE: WE ONLY SUPPLY CONTACT LENSES AS DETAILED SPECIFICALLY IN YOUR WRITTEN CONTACT LENS PRESCRIPTION. WE WILL NOT SUPPLY ANY OTHER TYPE OF CONTACT LENSES.
Pricing and Payment
The price you pay will be the price stated for the chosen goods on our website at the time of you submitting your order, plus the price stated for postage and packing per item.
- All prices include VAT.
- We reserve the right to amend prices at any time without notice, but once an order has been accepted, we will not change the price that applies to that order.
- You must pay us the full price for goods and postage and packing when placing your order.
- All payments must be made in UK Pounds Sterling
- All payments are subject to authorisation and validation from the credit or debit card issuer, or subject to clearance of your cheque if ordering by post. If authorisation or validation is refused by the issuer, or your cheque does not clear, we will not be liable for any delay or failure to deliver.
Despatch and Delivery
- We will send your goods by Royal Mail First Class Post or Royal Mail Recorded Delivery at an additional cost as detailed on our website.
- We will despatch the goods no more than 14 days after the order has been accepted, subject to availability as outlined in the "Goods and Services" section of these terms and conditions. If you do not receive your goods within 21 days of the order being accepted, please contact us immediately.
- The goods will be sent to the delivery address stated on the website order form, which must be a UK address.
- Prices exclude delivery.
Cancellation and Returns Policy
If you wish to cancel your order, you must return to us any goods that have already been supplied to you in its original packaging, undamaged and unopened. If you believe the goods to be faulty, incorrect or damaged upon delivery, we will cover the cost of return (provided that the means of return is agreed by us) and we will replace or exchange any such goods or we will refund you what you have paid, including carriage cost. Please keep proof of postage when returning goods.
If you decide that you wish to cancel prior to receiving the goods you must notify us immediately and we will endeavour to prevent the dispatch. If we are unable to do this you will then have to return them to us. We will only refund for goods that have been returned to us within one month of the purchase date. Our policy does not affect your statutory rights. Please accompany any returns with a brief covering letter and a copy of the receipt.
Inspection of Goods
- Upon delivery of the goods you should carefully inspect them as we will not be held responsible for damage or defects caused by you after you have received them. If any of the goods are lost or damaged, please contact us immediately using the e-mail address or the telephone number on our website and do not use the goods.
- Each of the goods delivered to you will contain a delivery note clearly stating the contents of the package and you should check that these match the prescription goods ordered. If the prescription stated does not match the prescription ordered, please contact us to inform us of the problem and do not use the goods.
- You will be liable for any loss or damage to the goods from the time of delivery unless such loss or damage is caused by our negligence.
Product Availability
If any of the goods you order are not available for whatever reason, we will attempt to inform you of this by email or telephone, and if you wish we will cancel your order and refund you anything that you have paid to us.
Refunds
Refunds will be made by re-crediting the payment card account from which the money was originally debited, or if you paid by cheque, by crediting the local branch of your Bank with the equivalent amount. All refunds will be made within 28 days of the cancellation of your order or within 28 days upon receipt of goods in their original state, (subject to your compliance with the terms and conditions relating to Cancellations and Return).
Exchange
If your contact lens prescription changes, goods will only be considered for exchange if you supply us with the new valid contact lens prescription in accordance with Contact Lens Prescription Requirements Terms & Conditions. Contact lenses may be returned for exchange provided that 15 months shelf life remains and they are unopened, undamaged and in the original packaging. We do not exchange other products unless they are faulty as per our Cancellation and Returns Policy. You will be responsible for the cost of returning all goods for exchange. For the replacement optics2u will charge the standard postage and packaging fee.

Your use of the Optics2u website ("Site") is at your own risk. The information given on the Site is for guidance only and we give no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or relevance of this information.
We give no guarantee, warranty or undertaking that any products you wish to purchase ("Products") will remain available or will meet your requirements, or that access to the Site will be or remain secure, uninterrupted or error free. It shall be your responsibility to ensure that the Products meet your specific requirements. The ranges of products are for demonstrative purposes only and are indicative of what may, or may not be in stock within the Optics2u at any time.
Optics2u shall not be held liable to any individual or business for any damage or loss which may have occurred from the use of any matter contained on this website.

Optics2u utilizes the latest in Secure Server Technology to ensure that all personal and transactional information is protected to the highest standards. We never make your personal details available to companies outside Optics2u for marketing purposes, although we may hold your data so that your details and/or order can be processed and/or account maintained.

We abide by the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998. We will only collect information that is necessary for us to fulfil our requirements to you.
We will not forward your details on to any other company, for any purpose other than to do what is necessary to complete your order.
We want to keep you up to date with news and information about what's happening at Optics2u. You can choose what information you want to receive by completing and submitting the registration form. You can unsubscribe at any time by amending your preferences under your account details.
Please remember we will only send you e-mail updates to the address you enter on to the registration form and we will not pass this information onto any organization outside of Optics2u. If you choose to enter your mobile telephone number to receive text message alerts about offers from Optics2u you can unsubscribe by contacting us and amending your preferences. Optics2u will not be held liable for the accuracy or otherwise, of any data including email addresses and mobile telephone numbers supplied to us. Optics2u cannot verify or correct data without being informed by and with the consent of the individual, or individuals concerned.
